The result of the expertise of the EM design office, the new powertrain of the Escape XR+ marks a major step forward in the world of electric off-roading.
On the one hand, the 3.8 kWh EM battery offers an exceptional weight-to-capacity ratio, eliminating compromises between range and agility. Compact, lightweight, and durable, it supports riders further, longer, without ever restricting their freedom.
On the other hand, the all-new EM motor, designed 100% in-house, redefines the feeling of electric driving.
A true concentrate of technologies, it combines: Instant torque at low revs, specific to electric, And a power profile close to a thermal engine, for a smooth, powerful and engaging drive.
Boasting an unmatched power-to-weight ratio, this engine can reach 14,000 rpm, with a maximum power of 11 kW and an impressive torque of 700 nM at the wheel.
Its casing has been specially developed to integrate this performance into a reduced footprint, while its high-performance rotor is held by a carbon sleeve, ensuring stability even at very high revs.
The air cooling has been optimized to ensure even heat dissipation, and the engine noise has been thoroughly refined to provide a quiet and pleasant driving experience.
With 40% more inertia, the motor becomes smoother, more rounded and more efficient.
